Adding content in HTML

See this guide to basic HTML, or follow the steps below to use the content editor to generate the HTML for you.

No-code way to generate HTML

If you want to add links or other formatting to your footer or sidebar, you have to use the text widget. Don’t know HTML? Don’t worry!

  1. Create a new post and save it as a draft. No need to add a title or anything else. We’re just using the post for the visual editor.
  2. In the body of the post, enter and style the content you want to add to the text widget. For example, you might add links or bold text.
  3. Go to the far right edge of the toolbar where there are two tabs that say Visual and Text.
  4. Click the Text tab
  5. Select all of the code and copy it
  6. Paste the copied code into the text widget

Guidelines for HTML

Using HTML may allow you to introduce new colors or fonts to your site; however, these variations are out of bounds since they may conflict with usability, accessibility or brand standards. Please honor the usage guidelines to help us protect the integrity of the theme.

Also, be careful about what kinds of HTML codes you use. Third-party apps that allow you to copy and paste codes may cause other things to malfunction on your website.
